Under Armour is one of the world’s-leading athletic apparel company’s best known for its introduction of form-fitting, moisture-wicking performance apparel designed to be worn under sportswear.
Founder, Kevin Plank, got tired of having to change out of the sweat-soaked T-shirts he wore under his jersey, so he developed a type of moisture-wicking fabric for athletic performance, founding the company in 1996.
The company has now moved to become a supplier of a much wider range of sportswear and casual apparel. Under Armour continues to expand its worldwide reach as the leading apparel and sponsor in the lacrosse industry. In 2008, Under Armour teamed up with Paul Rabil as his official sponsor naming him the face of Under Armour lacrosse. Together, both figures are creating a grass-roots effort to grow the game of lacrosse from the ground up, while using the worlds-best athletic apparel.
